Local hospital radio installation is complete.
A big thanks to Gene Harrison (N3EV), Paul Dluehosh (N4PD), John Smallwood (KN4FAM) and Kurt Reber (KI4FWB) for the help at Inova Lansdowne today. We were able to get the station at the hospital up and operational today. There is some minor follow-up punch list stuff to finish and a bit of documentation to pull together but the system is otherwise operating perfectly!
This is the completion of the the project that started many months ago. The hospital owns the radio equipment and installation We will help them test the equipment each month and man the station if necessary. Several hospital employees have expressed interest in becoming new hams so they can operate the equipment themselves.
We look forward to working with this facility and including them in our disaster planning.
